Where They Were: Coveo was growing fast and needed backend developers who could contribute to core product features, maintain public-facing websites, and build internal tooling — all while keeping pace with the demands of a rapidly scaling SaaS company in Quebec City's tech ecosystem.

The R&D team needed someone who could work across multiple domains: shipping new features for Coveo's main websites, contributing to the open-source Coveo Command Center (React Vapor), implementing AWS Parameter Store integrations, Dockerizing CMS workflows, and building internal training resources to level up the broader team.

What we did together

Product Features & Open Source

As a Backend Developer embedded in Coveo's R&D team, JN shipped new features for Coveo's main websites and contributed to the open-source Coveo Command Center built with React Vapor. This included building reusable components, improving developer experience, and ensuring the command center met the needs of both internal teams and external users.

Infrastructure & Developer Enablement

Beyond feature work, JN implemented AWS Parameter Store integrations for secure configuration management, Dockerized CMS workflows to streamline local development, and created internal training materials that helped onboard new developers and raise the technical bar across the team.
