CMS and DXP migration accelerators compared

What each CMS migration accelerator and DXP migration accelerator on the market moves, from where to where, based on each maker's own pages. Written by Sengo, which makes one of the eleven options.

A CMS migration accelerator is a tool or packaged service that automates part of a move to a new platform, such as pulling content out, mapping it to a new content model or converting front-end components. Of the eleven options below, five lead to SitecoreAI, two are built around Optimizely, one leads to Xperience by Kentico and three work across several destinations.

Each option in detail

What it is, where it moves you, how it treats the front end and content, and what to weigh before choosing it.

FastLane for SitecoreAI

Altudo

Agency accelerator

Altudo's AI-led delivery approach for moving enterprises to SitecoreAI. Altudo says it uses 100+ AI agents across the project.

Source and destination
Altudo describes it for enterprises modernizing from Sitecore XP to SitecoreAI.
Front end
Sites are assembled from a Figma-integrated design system and a branded, reusable component library mapped to Figma, with AI-assisted design-to-code conversion.
Content
The page does not describe how existing content is moved.

Strengths

  • A shared design system and component library from the start
  • Altudo says it supports personalization, localization and multi-site rollouts

Limits

  • Leads to SitecoreAI only
  • Pages follow Altudo's component library rather than a copy of your current front end
  • Altudo says up to 70% faster time to market and 30% lower cost; these are Altudo's own figures

AI Migration Accelerator Toolkit

Inorbital

Agency accelerator

Inorbital's toolkit for moves to Xperience by Kentico, used within its Kentico migration services. Inorbital is a Kentico partner based in Canada.

Source and destination
Destination is Xperience by Kentico only. Inorbital lists moves from Kentico Portal Engine, Kentico 13, Sitecore, Optimizely, Umbraco, WordPress, Drupal and other CMS platforms.
Front end
Page types, taxonomies and components are defined for Xperience by Kentico. The toolkit proposes template matches and highlights gaps for design.
Content
It scans the existing CMS and maps pages, media, metadata, taxonomies and content types, then builds import packages and repeatable scripts for delta updates. It also prepares language variants and generates image alt text.

Strengths

  • Pre-launch checks for broken links, missing media, SEO metadata, content parity and performance
  • A pilot on one representative section before the full move
  • Accessibility review aligned with WCAG and AODA recommendations

Limits

  • Leads to Xperience by Kentico only
  • Front end is designed and built for the new platform rather than copied from the old site

Kajoo Agentic

Kajoo

Software platform

An AI delivery platform for agency and enterprise DXP teams. Agents plan, build, migrate and validate work, and people review and approve it.

Source and destination
Production recipes cover Sitecore XP to SitecoreAI. Kajoo lists migration from any DXP to any DXP as coming soon.
Front end
Kajoo says its XP to SitecoreAI recipe preserves about 95% of the original JSS component code.
Content
Code, content and presentation move together through a six-phase recipe, with review points along the way.

Strengths

  • A reviewer model where agents propose and your team approves
  • Can be run by your own team or by your agency
  • Kajoo says a 30-component site typically completes in 3 to 5 working sessions

Limits

  • Only Sitecore XP to SitecoreAI is in production today
  • It is a tool, so you still need a team to run it

Migration Machine

Niteco

Agency accelerator

Niteco's AI system for replatforming from Sitecore to Optimizely CMS. Niteco says it migrates layout, design system and content up to 80% faster than traditional methods.

Source and destination
Niteco's replatform page describes the Migration Machine as moving sites from Sitecore to Optimizely CMS with Visual Builder.
Front end
Brand styles such as colours, fonts and design settings are extracted from the live site and used to build Visual Builder components that match it. Niteco says its library holds over 50 page templates and 200 block templates.
Content
AI breaks each page into sections, rows, columns and elements, including sliders and carousels, and produces ready-to-upload content. Analysis starts from the sitemap, with no backend access needed.

Strengths

  • Starts from the live site, so no backend access is needed for analysis
  • Niteco says SEO migration is in every package, including URL mapping, redirects and metadata
  • Niteco says proofs of concept can take as little as two weeks

Limits

  • Described for Sitecore to Optimizely only
  • Pages are mapped to Niteco's template library where a match exists
  • Speed figures are Niteco's own

Content Migration Accelerator

Optimizely (built by HUGE)

AI agent

An AI agent in Optimizely's agent directory, built by the agency HUGE, to help plan content moves for new websites and site consolidation.

Source and destination
Works with Optimizely's Content Marketing Platform and Content Management System. Source platforms are not listed.
Front end
Not part of the agent, which focuses on content planning.
Content
Teams set strategy, constraints and goals. The agent audits existing content, identifies gaps against best practices and centralizes the data, producing a refined content model and a prioritized backlog.

Strengths

  • Gives the team a content model and a prioritized backlog to work from
  • Listed by the platform vendor

Limits

  • Tied to Optimizely
  • Its output is a content model and backlog; the page does not describe rebuilding pages

Siteport

Oshyn

Agency service with migration engine

Oshyn's CMS and DXP migration service, built around Siteport, which Oshyn describes as a patented migration engine for complex DXP environments.

Source and destination
Oshyn says its migration technology is platform-agnostic. It extracts content from almost any legacy CMS, including Drupal, WordPress, TeamSite, OpenText, Oracle and homegrown systems, and Oshyn has specialists in Adobe Experience Manager, Contentstack, Sitecore and Optimizely.
Front end
Oshyn recommends a "Migration First" approach that moves your current design and content to the new DXP and leaves the redesign for a second phase. It says AI transforms legacy code into modern frameworks.
Content
Siteport automates extraction and transformation of content, assets, metadata and links. Oshyn says it preserves SEO tags, author history and taxonomy, and lists SEO metadata and redirect mapping in scope.

Strengths

  • Migration without a redesign is a stated option
  • SEO metadata and redirect mapping are in scope
  • Covers roles, permissions, workflows and integrations

Limits

  • How the rebuilt front end is checked against the old site is not described
  • Oshyn says up to 70% faster; this is Oshyn's own figure

Sengo Replica

Sengo

Sengo serviceMade by Sengo

Sengo's migration accelerator. It rebuilds an existing website 1:1 on the platform you choose and moves content into clean, structured models ready for a headless CMS. Built with Ploy, an AI marketing platform that turns a website into a growth engine, plus transformers and checks built by Sengo.

Source and destination
It works from any source to any destination, so the accelerator never decides your platform. Sengo is a partner of Sitecore, Optimizely, Kentico, Contentful and Storyblok.
Front end
The front end is rebuilt from your live site, not from a starter kit. Each template is compared with the original at desktop, tablet and mobile widths before it ships. For a new look, Replica can rebuild to a new design straight from Figma and a design system such as Storybook.
Content
Content lands as new structured content mapped to the destination's content model.

Strengths

  • Keep your current design, or rebuild to a new one from Figma and a design system such as Storybook
  • Not a black box: from day 1, your team can see the rebuilt site, try it and work on it with Sengo
  • URLs, redirects, titles, meta descriptions, canonicals and structured data are carried over and checked before cutover
  • A free one-template pilot to compare with the original

Limits

  • Public proof is limited to Sengo's own site (about 600 pages moved off WordPress in one night) and one confidential enterprise migration for one of Canada's largest insurance and wealth management groups
  • Delivered by Sengo's team, not sold as software

SitecoreAI Pathway

Sitecore

Platform vendor tool

Sitecore's own AI-powered migration tool for moving to SitecoreAI. Sitecore says it is included as part of Sitecore 360.

Source and destination
Built for organizations on Sitecore XP or XM. The page headline also mentions moving from any CMS, but its FAQ describes XP and XM.
Front end
Pathway carries over page structure and layout relationships. Custom code is not migrated and templates are recreated in SitecoreAI, so front-end work happens alongside it.
Content
It migrates content items, page structure, layout relationships and configured languages. AI groups similar pages and proposes mappings to SitecoreAI models, and people approve them before anything moves.

Strengths

  • Made by the platform vendor
  • People review every mapping before migration
  • Can run in phases by site and by language

Limits

  • Leads to SitecoreAI only
  • Does not migrate personalization rules, workflow states, analytics data, custom integrations or media libraries
  • Sitecore says it is not a lift-and-shift, so expect to rework structure

Agentic Migration

TBSCG

Agency service on AWS Marketplace

TBSCG's agentic migration offer, listed on AWS Marketplace and also presented on TBSCG's site as Aerial.

Source and destination
TBSCG lists sources including AEM, Sitecore, Drupal, WordPress and custom CMS, and targets including Magnolia, Contentful, Contentstack, Cloudinary and commercetools, with AEM as a target being added.
Front end
It identifies repeating page patterns with visual analysis where possible and markup analysis as a fallback, then applies that map across the site.
Content
Content is extracted, converted into a neutral interchange format and restructured for the target, and assets are migrated too. Content can also be rewritten to match a brand's tone of voice.

Strengths

  • Covers CMS, DAM and commerce targets
  • Content lands structured for the target rather than as raw HTML

Limits

  • Sitecore, Optimizely and Kentico are not listed as targets
  • TBSCG describes it as a pioneer programme running through 2026
  • TBSCG says 50 to 70% faster; this is TBSCG's own figure

ForgeAI

Verndale

Agency accelerator

Verndale's proprietary tool for migrating to SitecoreAI, delivered within a Verndale engagement. Verndale is a Sitecore Platinum partner.

Source and destination
Moves content from legacy platforms to SitecoreAI and XM Cloud.
Front end
Sitecore's partner directory says ForgeAI preserves design fidelity. Verndale also offers TIDAL, industry accelerators with pre-configured architectures, components and journeys for healthcare, financial services, law firms and higher education.
Content
ForgeAI automates extracting, organizing, validating and preparing content. Verndale strategists help retire outdated content and improve high-value pages during the move.

Strengths

  • Content strategy is part of the migration
  • Industry starter components are available through TIDAL

Limits

  • Leads to SitecoreAI only
  • The front-end method is not described in detail publicly
  • Delivered by Verndale, not sold as a standalone tool

Shift AI

Zont Digital

Agency accelerator

An agentic AI platform from Zont Digital, listed in Sitecore's solution catalog, for moving Sitecore XP MVC sites to headless SitecoreAI.

Source and destination
Sitecore XP MVC to SitecoreAI.
Front end
AI agents convert existing MVC components to Next.js by analyzing the source code and the live pages, so components are converted rather than rebuilt from scratch.
Content
Content migration uses low-level native Sitecore tooling.

Strengths

  • Automated UI tests and side-by-side benchmarking of the old and new sites
  • Works from your existing components rather than a starter kit

Limits

  • Sitecore XP MVC to SitecoreAI only
  • Zont Digital says it cuts migration cost by 70%; this is Zont Digital's own figure

How to choose a migration accelerator

Most choices narrow quickly once you know where you are going and what you want to keep. These questions work for any option on this page.

Start with the destination

If you have already chosen SitecoreAI, Optimizely or Xperience by Kentico, the platform-specific options apply. If not, settle the platform first or look at options that work across destinations.

Decide what happens to the front end

Keep the current design with a 1:1 rebuild or component conversion, start from a component library or starter kit, or treat the move as a redesign.

Check how content arrives

Ask whether content lands in structured fields in the new content model or as pasted HTML, and who designs that model.

Ask how search visibility is protected

URL mapping, permanent redirects, titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, hreflang and structured data should be in scope and checked before launch.

Ask for proof on your own site

Percentages on vendor pages are claims. A pilot on one of your templates or a sample of your content shows what you would actually get.

Know who runs it

Some options are tools your team or agency runs. Others come only with the maker's own services.

Migration accelerator questions

What is a CMS migration accelerator?

A CMS migration accelerator is a tool or packaged service that automates part of moving a website from one content management system to another, such as extracting content, mapping it to a new content model or converting front-end components. A DXP migration accelerator does the same for a digital experience platform, for example a move from Sitecore XP to SitecoreAI.

Which DXP migration accelerators lead to SitecoreAI?

Of the options on this page, Altudo FastLane for SitecoreAI, Kajoo Agentic, SitecoreAI Pathway, Verndale ForgeAI and Zont Digital Shift AI lead to SitecoreAI. Pathway is Sitecore's own tool. The others come from Sitecore partners or software vendors.

Are there migration accelerators that work across platforms?

Yes. Oshyn says its Siteport technology is platform-agnostic and can move content into the DXP you choose. TBSCG lists several sources and targets, including Magnolia, Contentful and Contentstack. Sengo Replica, made by Sengo, works from any source to any destination.

Which accelerators lead to Optimizely or Kentico?

Niteco's Migration Machine moves sites from Sitecore to Optimizely CMS, and Optimizely lists a Content Migration Accelerator agent built by HUGE for content planning. Inorbital's AI Migration Accelerator Toolkit leads to Xperience by Kentico. Oshyn and Sengo Replica also work with these platforms.

Does a migration accelerator keep my site's design?

It depends on the option. Kajoo Agentic and Zont Digital Shift AI convert existing Sitecore components, Niteco builds components from your live site's styles, and Sengo Replica rebuilds the front end 1:1 from the live site or to a new design from Figma. Altudo builds from its component library, and SitecoreAI Pathway and Optimizely's agent leave the front end to a separate team.

Will a migration accelerator protect my SEO?

No tool guarantees rankings. What matters is whether URL mapping, permanent redirects, metadata, canonicals and structured data are in scope and checked before launch. Inorbital, Niteco, Oshyn and Sengo list SEO work on their pages. Ask every vendor how they check it.

Can I compare the speed and cost claims?

Not directly. Figures such as "up to 70% faster" come from each maker's own pages and are measured in ways they do not publish. We quote them as claims. A pilot on your own content is a fairer comparison.

Who wrote this comparison?

Sengo, which makes Sengo Replica, one of the options listed. We describe every option from its maker's public pages, list them in alphabetical order by maker and did not test or rank them. Vendor pages were checked on October 29, 2026.
